Participation in the public debate on biodiversity

Following the publication on 8 May 2026 on the website of the Ministry of Environment, Waters and Forests of the draft Government Decision approving the National Strategy and Action Plan for Biodiversity Conservation 2026-2030, the RENBAL consortium submitted its comments and recommendations on these strategic documents.

Through its contributions, the project partners highlighted the importance of integrating biodiversity into sectoral policies, including renewable energy development and planning processes.

The submitted observations aim to strengthen science-based approaches, protect ecologically sensitive areas, and improve coherence between environmental, energy, and spatial planning policies.

This initiative is part of RENBAL's advocacy and policy activities, which support a responsible energy transition aligned with nature conservation objectives.
